An Afternoon of Tango
An Afternoon of Tango is a relaxed Sunday concert and dance event scheduled for 19 April 2026 at the Perth Town Hall. Part of the Perth Tango Festival 2026, the event features a live performance by the internationally acclaimed Hyperion Ensemble alongside Argentine vocalists Marisol Martínez and Lucas Boock.
Designed as a "listening experience first," the concert is a seated event aimed at both dancers and non-dancers. The programme highlights the expressive range of tango, including works by Astor Piazzolla and classic golden era composers, as well as familiar film melodies. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with dedicated community access seating for seniors and multicultural organisations.
