Security Supervisor

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), the standard starting salary for security guards under approved contracts is AED 2,500 per month including basic pay of AED 1,800 and AED 700 in housing and transport allowances as of 2026. Overtime is compensated at 125% of hourly rate for the first two hours and 150% thereafter, with hourly rate calculated as monthly salary divided by 208 hours. Employers must pay via the Wages Protection System by the 10th of each month.

Foreign security guards require a work permit sponsored by a MOHRE-approved employer, costing AED 200 for a two-year permit as of 2026. The process involves medical fitness test (AED 370) and Emirates ID (AED 373 for two years), with approval within 5 working days via MOHRE app. GCC nationals are exempt from work permits but need residency stamping.

As per PSBD regulations, candidates must be aged 21-50, at least high school graduate (Grade 10 equivalent), minimum height 165cm for males/160cm for females, and pass a medical exam with no criminal record as of 2026. Physical fitness test includes 800m run in 4 minutes for males. No prior experience required but basic training completion is mandatory.

Required documents include passport copy valid for 6 months, 6 passport photos, attested high school certificate, medical fitness certificate, and PSBD/SIRA training certificate as per MOHRE guidelines in 2026. Employer submits via MOHRE portal with employment contract specifying AED 2,500 minimum salary. Processing fee is AED 100 for contract approval.
