You will assist in the efficient and smooth operations of the department in accordance with the established brand standards as per Hyatt International.Working in a team of 60, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.Some of the responsibilities include:Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, corridors and surrounding back of house areasEnsure pantry doors are kept locked at all timesCollection and dispose of rubbish at the end of each shiftEnsure carpets are stain free through vacuuming, spot cleaning and shampooingClean fixtures, glasses, mirrors and polish metal surfacesReplenish toiletries as necessaryEnsure all soap dispensers and toilet paper are re-filled in all toilets of the hotels public areas including staff toiletsReport any detailing for contract cleaners to housekeeping ManagementReport any lost and damaged items following the policy’s and proceduresguests.QualificationsPrevious experience in Housekeeping within a hotel environment (four or five-star hotel experience is preferred) or similar fast-paced, cleaning services environmentA strong attention to detailExceptional organisational and time management skillsThe ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance to confidentiallySuperior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a teamThe ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5-star grooming standardsThe flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidaysJoin us at Hyatt and make travel more human.
