Join Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Forceโ€™s wheels turning!A great opportunity for a Welder to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Edinburgh SA near Adelaide.As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and authorised structural and component modifications to Defence vehicles, plant, equipment and components. You will be using a variety of welding methods, including electric arc, MIG and TIG welding or oxyacetylene welding or by machine in accordance with instructions and procedure.Benefits$51.48 an hour plus superWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About The RoleConducting maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification. Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements. Heat treat metal parts and components. Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment. Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting. Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective or decorative coatings.
