Welder positions in Riffa

As per the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the minimum salary for welder jobs (occupation code 7212) is BHD 350 per month as of January 2026. Employers must guarantee this amount in the work contract for permit approval. Housing allowance of at least BHD 100 is also required for expatriate welders.

Foreign welders need a sponsor from a licensed Bahrain employer to apply for a work visa via LMRA portal. Requirements include a valid passport, attested qualifications, and medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic costing BHD 50. Visa processing takes 7 working days and is valid for 2 years.

Welders must have a vocational training diploma in welding or at least 3 years of documented experience as per Ministry of Labour standards effective 2026. High school certificate plus AWS or equivalent certification is mandatory for skilled positions. Age limit is 21-60 years for work permit eligibility.

Required documents include passport copy, attested educational certificates, experience letters, police clearance, and 6 passport photos. Employer submits via LMRA Expat Management System with BHD 200 application fee. Medical examination report from Hamad Town Clinic or equivalent must be submitted within 3 days of arrival.
