Description

You are an experienced Passenger Bus Driver seeking a competitive wage, extensive benefits, and want to work for a company who prides themselves on safety. This is an exciting long-term opportunity to work on expanding the Edmonton LRT network.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting workers between designated pickup points within the project limits, helping ensure crews arrive on time and projects stay on schedule.

Responsibilities
• Safely operate a passenger bus to transport workers to and from various project site locations
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to potential changes according to project needs
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Ensure all passengers are transported in accordance with safety regulations and Ledcor policies
• Maintain clear communication with your reporting supervisors and site personnel
• Navigate public roads and construction areas with a high level of awareness and caution
• Keep accurate records including KM’s, trip logs, and incident reports
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all workers

Qualifications & Requirements
• 3+ years’ experience operating passenger buses or shuttle vehicles
• Must hold a valid class 2 driver's license with a clean 3-year driver’s abstract
• Strong defensive driving and hazard awareness
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• CSTS-2020 Fundamentals and WHMIS 2015 (training provided)
• Must be willing and able to assist with labouring duties when you are not driving the bus

Work Conditions
• Monday to Friday, 12 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
• Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
