Position Summary

Viscor is seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to support the fabrication of high-quality lighting fixtures and components. The successful candidate will have experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum, with a strong attention to detail and workmanship required for visible, finished products.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal components
• Weld stainless steel and aluminum parts to tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Set up welding equipment, select appropriate filler materials, and adjust settings as required
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and appearance; perform rework if necessary
• Grind, finish, and clean welded assemblies to meet production and visual specifications
• Work closely with fabrication, assembly, and quality teams to meet production schedules
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a MIG/TIG welder in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience welding thin-gauge materials with minimal distortion
• Strong experience with stainless steel and aluminum welding
• Ability to produce aesthetic, precision welds suitable for visible lighting products
• Proficient in reading blueprints and weld symbols
• Familiarity with fabrication processes such as bending, forming, or light machining is an asset
• Welding certification (CWB, AWS, or equivalent) is an asset
