Our client, a tier-1 supplier of scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial markets across North America, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder for their Calgary operations. As a Journeyman Welder, you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality custom units, ensuring all structural and sheet metal components meet rigorous industry standards.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Calgary, AB (SE District)

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Must be open to OT)

Environment: Industrial Manufacturing / Custom Production

Wage: $41.00 per hour

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

Precision Welding: Execute high-quality FCAW and GMAW welds on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components.

Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure precise assembly.

Equipment Operation: Use a variety of hand and power tools, including plasma cutters, grinders, and saws; operate shears and press brakes as needed.

Quality Control: Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Safety Leadership: Exhibit and promote safe work practices within a loud industrial environment, adhering to all PPE requirements.

Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate effectively with Team Leads, Engineering, and Quality departments to meet production targets.

Qualifications

What are we looking for in a candidate?

Certification: Valid Journeyman Welder Certificate (Red Seal preferred); CWB certification is a strong asset.

Technical Expertise: Proven experience with FCAW/GMAW processes and a solid understanding of sheet metal principles.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a fast-paced, loud manufacturing setting.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a large production team.

Reliability: Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots (6”+ height) and the flexibility to work overtime on weekdays or weekends when required.
