Job Description: Plumbing Design Engineer Position Title Plumbing Design Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Design Engineer to design, develop, and coordinate plumbing systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing plumbing layouts, hydraulic calculations, BOQs, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Design plumbing systems including: Water supply systems Drainage and sewage systems Storm water systems Rainwater harvesting systems Hot water systems Pump sizing and selection Prepare detailed engineering drawings using CAD/BIM software. Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing. Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, and architectural teams. Review shop drawings and vendor submittals. Ensure designs comply with local and international plumbing codes. Prepare BOQ, technical specifications, and material selection. Conduct site visits and resolve execution-related issues. Support project planning, estimation, and execution teams. Attend client and coordination meetings. Required Skills Strong knowledge of plumbing and public health engineering systems. Proficiency in:- AutoCAD Revit MEP MS Office Understanding of plumbing codes such as IPC, UPC, NBC, or local standards. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent coordination and communication abilities. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering. 1–8 years of experience in plumbing/PHE design. Experience in residential, commercial, hospital, hotel, or industrial projects preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with BIM coordination. Knowledge of sustainable water management systems.
