Plumber

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum recruitable salary for plumbers classified as skilled technicians is 280 KWD per month as of January 2026. This includes basic pay and excludes overtime, which is paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 48 per week. Contracts must specify this minimum to comply with PAM recruitment regulations.

Foreign plumbers require an Article 18 work residency visa sponsored by a Kuwaiti employer, approved by PAM before entry. The application fee is 5 KWD, and the visa is valid for 3 years renewable. Medical fitness certificate and police clearance are mandatory prior to issuance.

Plumbers must have at least a high school diploma or vocational plumbing certificate attested by the Kuwait Embassy, plus 3 years of relevant experience. PAM verifies these during work permit approval. Unskilled laborers without certification cannot be recruited for plumber roles.

Required documents include a valid passport copy, 4 passport photos, attested vocational certificate, employment contract signed by both parties, and medical report from approved clinic costing 25 KWD. Employer submits to PAM online portal within 1 week of arrival. Incomplete applications are rejected within 3 days.
