Delivery Driver - Friend with Fridge | Al Wakrah

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum basic wage for private sector drivers is QAR 1,000 per month under Cabinet Resolution No. 15 of 2017, unchanged as of 2026. Employers must provide food allowance of at least QAR 300 monthly and free accommodation or QAR 500 cash equivalent. Wages are protected through the Wage Protection System with monthly payments.

Foreign drivers require a sponsor employer's application for a work permit via the Ministry of Labour portal, followed by a residence visa from Ministry of Interior valid for 1 year initially, renewable up to 5 years as of 2026. Entry is on a 30-day job seeker visa convertible upon approval. No work permit fees are charged to workers since 2021.

Drivers must be at least 21 years old with a valid home country driving license convertible to Qatari license, and at least 2 years of relevant driving experience as per standard employer requirements under labour law. No minimum education level is required. A clean criminal record and medical fitness certificate are mandatory.

Required documents include a valid passport (6 months validity), attested driving license, medical fitness report from approved clinic, police clearance certificate, and 4 passport-sized photos. Employer submits via Ministry of Labour's online system within 1 week of arrival. Approval takes 3-5 working days as of 2026.
