Security Guard positions in Al Wakrah

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum basic wage for private sector workers including security guards is QAR 1,000 per month as of 2026. Employers must provide a minimum accommodation allowance of QAR 500 and food allowance of QAR 300, making the total minimum package QAR 1,800 monthly. This applies to workers recruited from abroad.

Foreign security guards need a job offer from a licensed Qatari sponsor to obtain a work entry visa valid for 1 month, followed by a Residence Permit (RP) valid for up to 5 years. Required documents include a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), medical fitness certificate, police clearance, and employer-attested contract. The sponsor handles application via the MOL portal within 2 weeks of arrival.

Security guards must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience, plus completion of a security training course from an approved center. Candidates under 21 or over 50 years old are ineligible. Physical fitness certification is mandatory as per labour regulations.

Required documents include a coloured passport copy, 6 passport photos, attested high school certificate, experience letters, medical report, and police clearance from home country. The employer submits these via the MOL e-services portal for job approval and visa. Processing takes 5-7 working days for approval.
