Plumber positions in Doha

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum basic wage for private sector migrant workers including plumbers is QAR 1,000 per month as of 2026. Employers must provide accommodation equivalent to QAR 1,000 value, food allowance of QAR 300, and transport allowance of QAR 200 monthly. Total minimum package reaches QAR 2,500 per month excluding overtime.

Foreign plumbers require a sponsor employer to apply for a work residence permit via the Ministry of Interior portal, valid for 1-2 years and renewable up to 5 years. Processing takes 5 working days after job offer and medical exam. No individual visa application allowed without sponsor.

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate plus 2 years documented plumbing experience is required for skill level classification. Applicants must submit attested experience certificates for Ministry of Labour approval. Trade test may be required for higher wage categories.

Required documents include passport valid for 6 months, attested academic and experience certificates, medical fitness report from GAMCA-approved clinic costing QAR 250, and 4 passport photos. Employer submits to Ministry of Labour for pre-approval before MOI visa stamping. Fingerprints and HIV test mandatory.
