Banquet Chef

This position is responsible for leading the preparation and execution of highquality meals for banquets weddings conferences and special events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the banquet kitchen operations managing staff and ensuring consistency and excellence in food quality presentation and service.
• Plan organize and execute banquet menus for events of various sizes and types.
• Supervise all food preparation and cooking activities in the banquet kitchen.
• Coordinate with the Executive Chef and event planning team to ensure menus align with guest expectations and event themes.
• Manage banquet kitchen staff and ensure adherence to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
• Monitor food costs inventory and kitchen supplies to ensure costeffective operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety sanitation and hygiene standards (HACCP or local regulations).
• Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff for banquet functions.
• Maintain a clean organized and efficient kitchen workspace.
• Troubleshoot issues during service and ensure timely food delivery.
• Evaluate postevent performance to implement improvements for future functions.

Qualifications :
• Proven experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar leadership role in a hotel catering company or event venue.
• Strong understanding of highvolume cooking and eventspecific food preparation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead motivate and train kitchen staff effectively.
• Knowledge of diverse cuisines and banquet service styles (buffet plated familystyle etc.).
• Strong understanding of portion control costing and menu planning.
• Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience in Arabic cuisine will be added advantage.
• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
