Loss Prevention Officer (Security Officer)

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), the minimum wage for Saudi nationals in the private sector with a high school diploma or less is SAR 4,000 per month as of 2026. Security guard roles comply with this wage floor, with overtime paid at 150% of the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. Contracts above this amount average SAR 5,000 monthly for entry-level positions.

Foreigners need a employer-sponsored temporary work visa under classification 5412 for security guards, valid for 90 days, followed by Iqama residency permit. The employer applies via the Qiwa platform, requiring proof of no suitable Saudi candidate due to Saudization quotas. Processing takes 5-10 working days with medical fitness certificate.

No minimum education is required, but applicants must be at least 18 years old, physically fit, and pass a medical exam. Zero prior experience is acceptable for entry-level roles, though a 40-hour security training certificate from TVTC is preferred for Saudis. Expatriates need at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Register on the Qiwa platform, search for licensed employers, and submit applications directly. Required documents include valid passport, work visa, medical fitness report, 4 passport photos, and attested experience certificate. Approved contracts are digitalized on Qiwa within 3 days.
