Kiva Sales and Service (KSS) is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and organized Class A Truck Driver to join our growing team. This role is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring accurate deliveries and compliance with all transportation regulations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically and mentally capable of handling long hours on the road, and committed to maintaining a strong safety record. Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and excellent judgment at all times.

As Kiva's Class A Driver, you will...
• Safely operate and drive assigned Class A commercial vehicles
• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 26,000 lbs.
• Pull trailers with a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
• Ensure trailer hitches are properly secured prior to transport
• Transport products and materials between designated locations safely and efficiently
• Pick up, organize, secure, and unload shipments to prevent damage during transit
• Obtain delivery confirmations through signatures and/or warehouse scanning systems
• Verify shipment contents against manifests and delivery documentation
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Monitor weather and road conditions before and during routes
• Maintain clean and properly serviced vehicles, including fueling and routine maintenance checks
• Report maintenance concerns, delays, or delivery issues to management promptly
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and hours-of-service documentation
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and required rest periods
• Comply with all company policies, DOT regulations, ICC requirements, and traffic laws
• Prioritize safety at all times while operating vehicles and handling products
• Successfully pass required driving record reviews, annual medical examinations, and periodic drug testing

What We're Looking For...
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
• Minimum of 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
• Must meet Kiva Sales and Service Motor Vehicle requirements
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements
• Strong knowledge of safe commercial driving practices
• Comfortable maneuvering and parking tractor-trailers in various environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Experience operating lift gates, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related equipment
• Proficiency using GPS systems and routing technology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent time management and stress management abilities
• Dependable, disciplined, and resourceful mindset

$26 - $28 an hour

Please note, we consider a number of factors such as internal pay parity, relevant experience/skills, geographic location, etc.

Work Environment
• Work is performed primarily in a commercial vehicle operating on public roads, highways, customer sites, and distribution facilities.
• Drivers may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and fog during daily operations.
• Noise levels may range from moderate to loud due to traffic, engines, loading equipment, and warehouse activity.
• Employees may work around moving vehicles, trailers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and loading dock equipment.
• Drivers are required to follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and customer site requirements.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety vest, steel-toe footwear, gloves, and safety glasses depending on location or task.
• Work schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, or extended driving periods based on business needs and route demands.
• Drivers may frequently enter and exit the tractor and trailer throughout the workday while performing inspections, securing loads, or making deliveries.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for extended periods of time.
• Ability to safely operate lift gates, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other delivery equipment when required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding deliveries, safety, and route conditions.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while driving and remain alert and focused during all driving conditions.
• Ability to frequently enter and exit the tractor cab and trailer, including climbing steps and maintaining balance.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move materials or equipment up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and secure cargo as needed.
• Must be able to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tires, equipment, and trailer connections.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor weather and temperature conditions.
