Position Summary
Yellow Jacket Maintenance Services is hiring Plumbers / Maintenance Technicians to perform service, repair, and installation work across residential and multi-family (HOA/condo) properties. This is a field-based role ideal for candidates with plumbing service experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and general handyman or maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform plumbing service and repair (leaks, fixtures, piping, drains, water heaters, shutoffs, etc.)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues in residential and multi-unit buildings
• Complete preventative maintenance and general repairs (drywall, carpentry, minor electrical, etc.)
• Respond to work orders and service calls across multiple properties
• Communicate with property managers, dispatch, and residents regarding scope and updates
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures
• Document work completed, materials used, and time via work order system
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if applicable)
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours/emergency service
What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of plumbing, maintenance technician, or handyman experience
• Experience with service-based plumbing (not just new construction)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in the field
• Experience working in residential, apartment, condo, or HOA environments preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (75–100 lbs occasionally)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and best practices
• English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Chicago Plumbing License or Apprentice experience
• Drain cleaning, sewer work, or water heater experience
• Multi-trade experience (electrical, HVAC basics, carpentry)
• Experience using work order / dispatch software
