We offer a full range of benefits and are now looking to hire Rough Plumbing Installers for our Multifamily/Commercial division in the Los Angeles area!

General Responsibility:

The duties of the Multi Family Rough Plumbing Foreman are to install functional plumbing system(s) components at construction job site according to job specifications and budget. Supervises, coordinates, inspects and performs the assembly, installation or repair of plumbing systems during the construction, from rough to finish.

Significant Duties:
• Interprets blueprints and building specifications to layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
• Provides daily guidance, training, and direction to plumbing crews consisting of leads, installers, apprentices and labors
• Performs all duties of a Plumbing Installer
• Ensures safety, budget, job quality, and timely completion of each assigned project
• Build strong relationship with field team, general contractors and builders to lead a positive work environment
• Studies job specifications, schedules to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
• Makes decisions by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Oversee and leads the work of leadsman, installers, apprentices and laborers crews onsite
• Responsible for managing labor budget for projects assigned
• Responsible for compliance and submitting weekly time cards for employees onsite, conducting weekly safety tailgate(s) meetings, and turning monthly safety sheets
• Responsible for keeping project work deadlines and approval by Superintendent
• Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
• Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed
• Uses saws and pipe cutters and other equipment as necessary
• Collaborates with builders, electricians, framers, and drywallers in installing and repairing plumbing systems
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site
• Travel to different jobsites as directed by management
• Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair
• Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
• Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken
• Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace defective parts
• Believes in and champions 20/20’s core values and inspires others to do the same.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
• High school degree and/or equivalent. Five to seven years of hands-on experience as a Foreman within the construction industry
• California Class C Driver License, with good DMV record is required.
• Ability to maintain an active CPR First Aid certification.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints, to lay out work from rough plans and drawings.
• Mechanically inclined or has experience in plumbing.
• Ability to be patient with employees and demonstrate professionalism at all time.
• Able to take directions for plumbing work to be done and perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction to ensure a successful completion of project.
• Ability to maintain behave in a professional manner, display composure, keep emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in difficult situations.
• Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the plumbing trade
• Must be familiar with all aspects of plumbing from the ground through the finish.
• Ability to supervise the work of skilled and unskilled employees.
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
• Must have knowledge of smart phone/IPad functions emails.

Physical Requirements:

The position of Multi Family Rough Plumbing Foreman requires that you are able to lift objects that weight up to 50 pounds, if required to lift more than 50lbs; employees must ensure buddy system. Ability to climb a ladder, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist. Exposed to constant work in and outdoor weather conditions. Travel to jobsites will be necessary and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
