Job Description
As a Plumber, you will be a key member of the on-site facilities team supporting a client, a critical transportation and infrastructure asset. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plumbing systems that support passengers, tenants, and operations in a high-profile, 24/7 environment.

The successful candidate demonstrates strong technical capability, a safety-first mindset, customer focus, and the ability to work effectively within a structured service delivery model.

Primary Responsibilities
Plumbing Operations & Preventative Maintenance
Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, and associated piping.
Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures such as toilets, urinals, sinks, valves, fountains, and backflow devices
Execute preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with company standard operating procedures and client requirements
Respond to service calls and emergency conditions to restore systems safely and efficiently
Conduct performance testing to verify system integrity and compliance

Facilities Service Delivery
Support continuous operations at a high-traffic transportation facility with minimal disruption to customers and passengers
Work safely and professionally in public-facing areas and secure mechanical spaces
Support building infrastructure serving restrooms, mechanical rooms, employee areas, and commercial tenants
Assist with planned infrastructure upgrades, capital projects, and system improvements

Safety, Compliance & Quality
Adhere to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and all applicable plumbing codes
Follow required procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fall protection, and PPE usage
Identify hazards, report safety concerns, and participate in site safety initiatives
Ensure workmanship meets company quality standards and client service level expectations

Documentation & Systems
Accurately complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance records using companys computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Document repairs, materials used, and corrective actions
Support audits, compliance inspections, and performance reviews

Team Collaboration
Collaborate with HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and building automation technicians within the company site team
Coordinate work activities with supervisors, client representatives, and subcontractors
Participate in on-call or emergency response rotations as required

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent trade certification preferred
35 years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing environments
Working knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and best practices
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality service delivery
Ability to pass background screening, drug testing, and physical requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in large facilities, transportation hubs, or mission-critical environments
Knowledge of backflow prevention systems, booster pumps, and high-volume restroom systems
Familiarity with CMMS and mobile work order platforms
Experience working within a union environment

Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in tight or confined spaces
Exposure to mechanical rooms, utility tunnels, varying temperatures, water, and noise
Ability to perform work safely within an active, occupied facility
