Our client, a major player in the industrial sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Electrician to join their operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems and machinery within their facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of industrial electrical principles, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, a meticulous approach to work, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining operational continuity and enhancing system performance.

Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control systems, lighting, and power distribution systems. Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose faults and perform repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and prevent breakdowns. Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with the highest safety standards, regulations, and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures. Operate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify electrical issues and verify system performance. Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, working efficiently to restore functionality. Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance personnel to implement upgrades and modifications to electrical systems. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Provide guidance and technical support to junior electricians and maintenance staff. Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and safety practices. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes. Ensure a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade qualification (e.g., N3 Certificate, Trade Test Certificate). Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Electrician. Proven experience with high-voltage systems, motor control centers, VSDs, and PLCs. Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., OHSA). Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work shifts, including overtime and call-outs when required. Valid driver's license is an advantage.
