About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Certified Electrician to join our technical team. This role is designed for a professional who excels in multi-disciplinary maintenance, complex fault finding, and large-scale project installations. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical compliance across various environments, including telecommunications and high-pressure industrial sites.

The ideal candidate is a Master Installation Electrician who can lead on-site teams and manage the technical execution of both single and three-phase electrical systems while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Technical Execution
• Multi-discipline Maintenance: Oversee and execute comprehensive maintenance schedules for diverse electrical systems.
• Fault Finding: Perform advanced diagnostic testing and repairs on electrical circuits to minimize downtime.
• Installation & Projects: Lead the installation of new electrical infrastructure and manage ongoing project work to meet strict deadlines.
• Compliance: Issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) for both new and existing electrical circuits and installations, ensuring all work meets legal standards.

Leadership & Operations
• Team Management: Exercise on-site leadership to manage junior staff and ensure project milestones are met.
• Emergency Support: Provide standby support and respond to emergency repair calls as needed.
• Travel: Ability to undertake long-distance travel to service various project sites.

Requirements
• Education: Matric (Grade 12) and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical trade studies.
• Certification: Qualified Electrician as per central trade test organization requirements with a valid 3-phase Wireman’s License.
• Professional Status: Must be licensed as a Master Installation Electrician.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installations and maintenance (Single and Three Phase).
• Licensing: Valid Code 08 driver’s license is essential for travel requirements.
• Computer Literacy: Good proficiency in computer systems for reporting and project management.

Advantageous Skills
• Telecommunications: Prior experience working within the telecommunications sector.
• Safety Training: Current First Aid and Fire Fighting training certifications.
• Specialized Access: Basic Fall Arrest or Working at Height Certificate.
