Job Description
Keep agricultural solar systems performing at their peak while building trusted client relationships in the field.

Is this you?
You're a practical, solutions-driven Electrician who takes pride in your workmanship. Comfortable working directly with farmers and site owners, you communicate confidently in both Afrikaans and English. You're self-managed, safety-conscious and professional, with a hands-on approach to fault finding and maintenance. Reliable and presentable, you enjoy being client-facing and building long-term relationships.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll focus on preventative and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems, ensuring optimal uptime and performance. From advanced fault-finding on LV systems to inspecting inverters, combiner boxes, switchgear and distribution boards, your technical expertise will keep systems running efficiently. You'll issue and sign off CoCs, respond to breakdowns and urgent call-outs, support overhead line and reticulation maintenance when required, and compile detailed service reports. This role is less about installation and more about long-term system care and client satisfaction.

Where you'll be doing it
Our client is a specialist EPC delivering turnkey solar solutions across South Africa, with a strong footprint in the agricultural sector. Known for quality installations and long-term client partnerships, they are expanding their dedicated Operations & Maintenance division to support a growing installed base. Their culture values reliability, technical excellence and strong client relationships, particularly within rural and farming communities.

What you'll need
You must be a Trade Tested Electrician (ESSA/Red Seal) with a valid Wireman's License (non-negotiable). Solar PV experience and strong fault-finding skills are essential. A Lineman's License is advantageous. Experience in agricultural or rural environments is preferred. You'll need a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to sites.

What you'll get
A structured work week, company vehicle for work travel, tools and equipment supplied, and the opportunity to join a growing renewable energy specialist focused on long-term client relationships.
