Sales Representative: Packaging – Eastern Cape

As per the Department of Employment and Labour, the national minimum wage for packing staff is R32.75 per hour effective 1 March 2026. This amounts to R5,870 gross per month for a 45-hour week. Overtime rates are 1.5 times the ordinary rate for hours exceeding 45 per week.

As per the Department of Home Affairs, non-exempt SADC nationals require a General Work Visa for packing staff roles, valid for up to 5 years with employer sponsorship. Applications cost R1,520 and must include a job offer letter and proof of qualifications. Processing takes 8-10 weeks at a VFS centre.
