MIG Welder Position

Shift: First Shift 7am-4pm Mon-Fri

Pay Rate: $22 per hour (OT Available)

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication and assembly team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding structural and sheet metal components used in the assembly of industrial generators and their enclosures. Your work is a critical part of the manufacturing process, ensuring each unit is structurally sound, weather‑resistant, and built to specification. This position plays an important role in the end‑to‑end production process, contributing directly to the assembly and final shipment of fully built industrial generators to customers across various industries.

Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings

Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and beveling joints

Set up welding machines with correct parameters for each job

Perform MIG welding (primary process), with occasional use of other techniques as needed

Inspect and monitor weld quality, making adjustments when necessary

Maintain welding equipment in safe and operational condition

Support the broader assembly process to ensure products are ready for shipment

Collaborate with team members across departments to meet production and delivery schedules

Proficiency in at least one welding process (MIG, TIG, or Stick)

Basic knowledge of metallurgy (heat effects, distortion, material types)

Understanding of welding procedures and workplace safety practices

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment

Certifications & Training Requirements

Welding certification per AWS D1.Hot Work Permit training

Respirator fit test (if welding in confined or high‑fume areas)
