Job Description
Code 10 Driver required in the Warehouse/Distribution department of a company based in Gqeberha

Skills required:
• Communication skills - Must be able to communicate effectively and must be able to read and write well
• Physical stamina – Drivers are responsible for lifting heavy items and unloading equipment onto or off of vehicles, so they need the strength and stamina to keep up with this kind of work
• Customer service – Drivers often interact directly with customers, so strong customer service skills are necessary in order to remain professional and polite at all times and to resolve any complaints or issues with deliveries
• Teamwork – this role involves working closely with colleagues and assisting them with deliveries and loading equipment, so applicants need to have professional collaboration skills
• Punctuality – Drivers work a tight schedule and are required to complete a certain amount of deliveries in a set time frame, so they must be punctual and manage their time efficiently
• Valid Code 10 Drivers License
• Valid Public Drivers Permit (PDP)
• Valid Forklift Driver’s License

Duties:
• Inspect Vehicle every day before going out
• Pack and load vehicle according to invoices
• Deliver to clients as per assigned route
• Maintain communication with Supervisors and Managers
• Offload Goods as per Invoice at the clients
• Review with clients all goods delivered
• Ensure all supporting documents are signed and returned to HQ
• Ensure delivery vehicle is roadworthy and clean at all times
• Report any problems to the manager
• Check loads before delivery
• Off load goods in a safe and efficient manner
• Obtain signatures from customers for proof of deliveries
• Ensuring safety of goods on vehicles
• Completing delivery schedules
• Loading of vehicles
• Assisting with picking of stock
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned
